Artist Statement:
Our mission is to create art that connects with and inspires the community. The "Lend a hand" monument is dedicated to the countless volunteers who so willingly gave their time and efforts to care for those affected by the wildfire. Their efforts prove that we are stronger together reinforcing the pillars of community strength. This piece is an expression of the support created through the kindness of helping your fellow neighbor.

This site has been selected for the Monument as it was a primary location of refuge for evacuees displaced by the wildfires. As a venue for relief, as well as a gathering place for the community, this area has become an atmosphere that emanates Canadian spirit. The monument is a reflection of that spirit and celebrates the countless individuals who have provided care and shelter for so many. We hope the monument provides an area to reflect on the events that we have overcame together.
